Mizuna Green

Mizuna has long, broad, serrated, deeply cut satiny leaves with thin terminal stems that meet at the base of the root. Mizuna's flavors can be characterized as spicy and bright with a subtle earthiness.
Brassica rapa L. var. niposinica is a variety of turnip that is distinguished by its dark green and yellow serrated leaves, up to 35–40 cm in length, with a smooth and slightly feathery texture.
Interesting facts
The genus comprises about 35 species native to Asia and tropical Africa. In India, one of them, Ocimum tenuiflorum L., is considered a sacred plant in the Buddhist religion and is not used for food.
